Creating Contextual Interoperability to Support Teaching and Learning

by MatchMaker Education Labs, PBC

Determining how curriculum and learning resources address learning objectives and curriculum standards is an arduous process that can stand in the way of enacting changes in how we teach and learn. MatchMaker Education Labs, a Public Benefit Corporation, is leading an initiative to implement an open process for dynamically matching education collections to one another.

Collections can include learning resources, curriculum standards, certifications, badges, and other learning elements. Tools are provided to support the descriptive process and ways to generate match data, which can be used to create digital or print reports and integrate the information into other products using a robust API.

Establishing this context-based interoperability is essential to supporting personalized learning, supporting the development of unique courses, identifying learning resources that address the needs of each learner, and much more.

We are looking for early adopters to expand this initiative to include schools, publishers, standards organizations, workforce development programs, and others.
